Our Corps

2136 Canadian Scottish Regiment Cadet Corps

2136 CSCOTR Cadets is one of the few Army Cadet corps in the Greater Victoria Area. During the school year we parade out of the Bay Street Armory (715 Bay Street access on the Field Street side) on Thursday evenings from 1830 - 2100 hours (6:30pm-9:00pm). Our affiliated regiment is the Canadian Scottish (Princess Mary's). As with other affiliated army cadet units we wear a uniform similar to our regiment . Once a cadet has reached the rank of Master Corporal (usually after completing their second year) they will be able to wear the highland order of dress alongside their other senior NCMs and above. We participate in weekend Field Training Exercises (usually twice per year) to develop fieldcraft and navigation skills. Where possible we also participate in CAF familiarization training with our regiment. In the past this has been C7 shoots and winter field training exercises. We are currently running most of the normal extra curricular's of the army cadet program, including: Pipe Band, Marksmanship, Biathlon, Orienteering, and Pre-Para training; and we hope to have more in the future.
